As a lifelong resident of Dorchester County, Michelle has been a caring and positive influence to numerous families in the community. During summers as a teen, her initial work experience was in a local real estate office. Michelle attended Salisbury University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Middle School Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision. She dedicated 30 years to the children and families of Dorchester County as both a teacher and administrator. Upon retirement from the school system she felt that a natural next step was to return to real estate where she could continue to help families as they embark on the exciting task of selling or purchasing a home to suit the unique needs and wants of each family.
Michelle and her husband, Jeff, purchased their family home many years ago with the professional services of Sharon Spedden. In that home, the Ruarks raised their two sons, Grant and Garrett. From that initial home purchase, Michelle knew the importance of working with a licensed realtor to find the right home.
While Michelle is a Licensed Realtor who will provide clients with the personalized and caring service that Sharon Real Estate is known for, you can find her in the Sharon Real Estate front office where she operates full-time assisting to ensure the smooth, organized, and successful operation of the entire agency.

I dedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office plus the times showing properties which give me an acute awareness of the market conditions. I will diligently represent your interests, whether you are buying or selling your property. I have the drive, commitment and knowledge that will make our working relationship together a success.
