SmithsonianMag.com has named Cambridge, Maryland among the Top 15 Small Towns to Visit. Located on the shores of the Choptank River and Cambridge Creek along Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Cambridge is known for its rich maritime heritage, as well as being a primary stop along the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway. Crab and oyster fishers still haul in their catches at Cambridge’s Yacht Basin and the town’s Long Wharf is home to the Choptank River Lighthouse and Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester.
